ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY AT RUSH MEDICAL COLLEGE

Dr. Ramkrishna Mehendale is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush Medical College. He also serves as the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Office for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Program.

Dr. Mehendale received his medical degree from Lokmaya Tilak Municipal Medical College in Bombay, India, and his PhD in Physiology with a focus in Reproductive Endocrinology from Kent State University. Dr. Mehendale completed his residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Mehendale’s procedural specialties are level II ultrasound, amniocentesis, fetal echocardiography, and 3D/4D ultrasound.

His clinical interests include hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, diabetes in pregnancy, and preconceptual counseling. His current research interests are pre-eclampsia and premature labor.
